Makin' it Monday- Beaded Necklaces

Miss C has been into jewelry lately...especially the silly bands...she isn't even two yet and has a complete collection of the things!!!!

Anyway, I made her a cute necklace out of some scraps I found around the house.

I took some left over tulle netting from a package and some flat bottom marbles and made here a cute little necklace.

I started by tying the two pieces of tulle together several inches down.  Then I inserted a marble and tied a knot at the end of the marble.  I continued doing this until I thought the necklace was long enough for Miss C.  Then I knotted the end of the two pieces together.  Once your necklace is all tied up you will want to take a dot of hot glue to the back of each marble to hold the tulle in place so the marble doesn't fall out.

I also made a necklace for me the other day.  Remember those pink flip flops from the Flip Flop Exchange I participated in back in June?  Well I bought a top to go with the shoes, now I need accessories to go with the top!  It is a never ending cycle isn't it? I mean, a woman has to be coordinating...well at least sometimes!

I took a beaded necklace left over from another craft project, some more marbles, modpodge, fabric, ribbon, and hot glue and came up with a necklace and earrings.

I spray painted the necklace silver, I am really not a yellow gold wearing girl.  Even though my wedding ring is yellow gold.  I have to cut the hubby some slack...he got the right diamond cut and added my favorite stones in to accent the whole thing.

Next I traced my marbles on fabric and cut out my shapes.

Then, I modpodged the fabric to the marbles.

After that I attached the marbles to a small piece of ribbon and the necklace with my hot glue gun.

I also made two earrings by attaching two marbles to earring posts that I picked up at Hobby Lobby.

Happy Crafting!
